For decades, medical science has known that, in life-threatening situations, the intervention of bystanders is essential for the success of the intervention and for the victim’s chances of survival.
This intervention must take place within the first 4 minutes; otherwise, the victim will suffer irreparable brain damage.
It is important to note that professional emergency services cannot possibly be on the scene within 4 minutes everywhere.
For this reason, the ECU Arbiters Council is organising a CPR-BLS seminar for all interested persons.
The seminar will teach the essential basic techniques for providing effective assistance to a victim in life-threatening situations.
The lecturer will be IA Geert Bailleul, a professional intensive care and emergency nurse.
The seminar will take place online, on November 9th 2025, 10.00-13.00 CEST.
It will last for 3 hours.
